The Highway Code
What is the highway code?
The highway code is your 'bible of the road'. It contains many of the dos and do nots of the UK road law, covering not just driving but walking and cycling too. You are expected to understand all elements of the code in order to pass your theory test and should have at least read the code before embarking upon your first lesson.
Helpfully the government has published an online version of the book which contains all the information you will need. You may however wish to purchase your own copy of the regulations.
